FLES/MS Poster Contest 2010
The Georgia
Chapter of the AATSP is pleased to announce its 2010 POSTER CONTEST for elementary and middle school students
of Spanish and Portuguese in grades kindergarten through eight. Participation in the contest allows students to express their
creativity as they reflect on the value of language learning. Students whose teachers are AATSP members in good standing in
public or private schools are eligible. Each student who enters a poster will receive a certificate suitable for framing.
State winners in each of the three grade-specified categories receive prizes, and their entries are sent to the national
AATSP contest. This year's poster theme is

1. Teachers may submit a total of three posters per grade category: K-3, 4-5, and 6-8.
2. Each poster must be created by only one student.
3. Entries must be 12 X 18 inches and may be drawn in pencil, crayon, pen, ink, or markers.
4. This year's theme must be written on the poster. Any writing on the poster must be in Spanish
or Portuguese. Posters will be judged on their applicability to the theme, creativity, and
uniqueness.
5. Sponsoring teachers of students who enter posters must be
current AATSP members.
6. Each poster must be accompanied by the Poster
Contest Student Information Form (duplicate as needed - see below). Please print clearly or type the required
information and attach to the back of the entry with tape on all sides of the form- do not staple. In addition, email an attachment
of the completed Student Information Form (without signatures) for each student entry to contest chairperson, Vicki Alvis:

7. Mail posters, first class, FLAT (not rolled) and protected by cardboard.
