Composition Contest

AATSP-GA cordially invites you to participate in the AATSP-GA Spanish Composition Contest of 2024! To register for the contest and receive further instructions please complete the Google form linked below or the paper form linked below (must be postmarked by January 26, 2024 if registering by mail). Composition Contest 2024 Timeline:
Jan. 8 to Feb. 2: Registration and payment February 5: Contest information distribution to teachersFebruary 5 to 16: Student Registrations (Teachers will register individual students.)March 4 to 22: Composition contest administration at schoolsMarch 22: Deadline to mail contest entries to Contest DirectorApril 1-15: Rating of compositions by AATSP-GA Board and committee membersApril 22: Contest results released and prizes distributed AATSP-GA will utilize a similar format to previous administrations. Teachers will be required to submit student names and competition levels prior to receiving their prompts. Prompts will be delivered to registered teachers via email. In the past registered teachers were asked to designate a proctor for writing day. Teachers are now allowed to administer the composition to their own students. Additionally, entry submissions will be accepted on paper through U.S. mail only to facilitate reading and rating. The cost of the contest will remain at $7.00 per student. Payment must be made by February 16, 2024, either via the Paypal link on the Google registration form, or via organization check (no personal checks please) made payable to AATSP-GEORGIA CHAPTER with your name and the school name on the for line of the check. Unpaid registrations will not be rated and are ineligible for prizes. If selecting the mail-in option please send your check to: Thomas Cremer, Treasurer, AATSP-GA112 Christopher Ln.Stockbridge, GA 30281 Please help us spread the word about the Composition Contest in your district!
